Puffer's and Planes Birthday Party

Faylen and I had a big plane themed birthday party at Aldridge park in Corralitos. Faylen turned 2 and I (lil John) turned 3! We had lots of friends and family come. We played at the park, had a pic nic, and flew planes. Thank you to everyone who came for our special day!
We got to hit a plane pinata this year!

We had big styrofoam planes to throw in the park.
And you could color and decorate your own airplane!
Great Grandma was a trooper!
Everyone found a seat on the grass and ate.

Funny Moments

Can't leave 2 toddlers alone for a second. We'll find some kind of trouble to get into.......like ALL mom's makeup!!!! Even the dog had eyeliner all over him!

Anniversary 2010 (5 months ago)

Mom and Dad had a very romantic 4th anniversary. It was dad's year to plan it. Among many fun things they did for the day (including going to a comedy club), the best was watching the sunset in Big Sur at this amazing beach they hiked to. It was secluded and beautiful.

Dad came prepared with blankets, champagne, fancy cheese, crackers and oysters. Thankfully Faylen and I got to go play with cousin Sophie for the day and didn't have to watch all the mushy romance.

Loving the Dentist

Ok, so how often is it that a 2 year old and three year old have a successful dentist appointment at the same time?
Well, believe or not, we did! I tried going to the dentist over a year ago and was too scared of the chair to even sit down. I just screamed and we had to go. This year, both my sister and I had an appointment at the same time. Mom said that she honestly has never been more proud of me. We walked in to the dentist and mom sat with (faylen who did a lot of crying during her examination) and I walked off with another dental assistant clear across this giant room from my mom. She made me lay down on this big chair, wear a bib, wear sunglasses, while she cleaned my mouth and shoved instruments in it with this bright light blaring over my head. Meanwhile, mom wasn't there to hold my hand or talk me through it. But I didn't need her. I completely obeyed everything the hygienist told me to do and was such a mature big boy the whole time. Mom just couldn't believe it. I think she's proud of me, yet a little sad at how old and independent I'm getting so quickly. Here's some pics of the momentous occasion.
Faylen before she started getting freaked out and screaming
We got a balloon, a sticker, a toy and a report card
Mom didn't take a picture of it, but there was a huge fish tank with nothing but Nemo's and Dory's and there was a huge Puffer fish painting in front of my chair. I loved it!

This is the lady using that water squirter and saliva sucker in my mouth. I didn't even flinch!

When she told me to "open wide" I sure listened
This is mom leaning over chairs to get a closer picture with her camera phone, since she was so far away from me during most of the appointment.

Monster Trucks!!!!!

Since mom and Faylen got to go to AZ together, dad and I got to go to a Monster Truck show and have a man's day out! It was the coolest thing I've ever seen and I can't stop talking and thinking about Monster Trucks. Every car toy I own has turned into either a Monster Truck or the cars being smashed. I can play with my "pretend monster trucks" for hours. I can't wait to go again. I got to go with my friends Noah and Madeline and their daddy.

Here's some awesome pics of the trucks:

I loved when they crashed!

This was my favorite truck: The Spider Man Truck
