Back from Sabbatical

So if you hadn't noticed, I took a little Sabbatical from the blog. After having never missed a month since I was born, 3 years ago, I took some time off to take care of my family. Now that I'm back in blogworld, I'm a little overwhelmed at having to catch up on almost 5 months. So I'm mainly just going to post some pics of past events over the last 6 months. They may be a bit out of order. I know you missed me terribly. So you can dry your eyes, the Puffer Post has returned and is back in full throttle! Enjoy!

Father's Day '10

We had a great father's day this year! We slept in, made daddy a special pancake breakfast, went out to lunch on the Santa Cruz wharf at Riva's with Jason & Rachel, G-ma & G-pa Spencer, and uncle Ryan, then played frisbee golf at De La Viega. It was such a beautiful day and nice to spend it outside hiking around. Then just the 4 of us went to capitola beach for our favorite dinner....Pizza my heart. We watched the sunset, played in the water and then went and got frozen yogurt. What a fun day!

Look at that shot! I got pretty good at keepin up with the guys and throwing my own disc on the course. Daddy gave me some good pointers so I could learn to play.
Cuties!

Dad in action. I was right behind him ALL day copying his every move.

We found a starfish on the shore!

I ended up completely going in the water and getting my clothes soaked. I LOVE the ocean and wish I could just run in it and swim by myself!

Baby Shower

Mom had a beautiful baby shower on June 12th. Grandma Susan was suppose to throw it for her, but she ended up falling on a hike near Tahoe and breaking her ankle in a few places just a few days before the shower. Poor thing has been through quite a lot in the last year. She just recovered from her surgery a year on the same leg and now this happens. She just had another surgery a few days ago and it looks like things are healing well. But there will be lots of casts and crutches and scooters for the next several months. :( We are all praying for a quick recovery and for her spirits to be lifted. Please pray for her if you think of it. I like to remind mommy to pray for Grandma. In fact, I have been very into praying lately all by myself.
Jesus and I are best buds! :)
So Auntie Rachel and Auntie Shoshi stepped up and threw the shower for mommy. They did an absolutely amazing job. It was beautiful, mom had fun, and was showered with many special gifts. Best of all, Grandma actually came to the shower and completely surprised mom! She thought she wasn't going to come because the drive was too long and painful for a broken leg without a cast on it, but Grandma is a trooper and didn't want to miss her daughter's shower. That really meant a lot to mom to have her mom there.
Here's some great pics that Rachel took during the shower:

The spread was amazingly beautiful and YUMMY!

Rachel made these adorable party favors that had a special Bible Verse on them:
"Children are a gift from the Lord, they are a reward from Him."
Psalm 127:3

Thank you everyone who came to bless our family!
